Hi Everybody! We've been working since April 2012 on and off converting Storm Warning from an Edelbrock 500 CFM's Dual Quad setup over to a vintage 1966 Hilborn Mechanical Fuel Injection system.

GOOD NEWS:
She Fired off on the Hilborn on Wednesday September 19th! YES!

I was momentarily stunned, then someone flooded it (I got excited)! We dried it out and I advanced the timing (a wee bit too far I do believe). Kapow - backfire thru the injectors! Such a good one we snapped the snout on our heavy-duty full-size PowerMaster high torque starter!

But "that's Motor Racing" as Jackie Stewart used to say. We had Summit overnight a new one, got it installed, and made our goal for the past weekend - show Storm Warning at the 13th Annual "Cruisin' For A Cure" show in Costa Mesa CA on Saturday Sept. 22nd! We made it!
Here is a video of our friend Big Randy doing a walk-around of Storm Warning at the Show. This is the first time he has seen it with the Hilborn Injection!

Well, we're going to do it! Can you say Hilborn? And no EFI here - no sir, we decided to go with a vintage Mechanical Injection setup. And I designed a "Red Light Lover" idle system so we're hospitable sitting at red lights (I hope). But more on that later! Let's start the conversion from dual quads to Hilborn! Come follow along!
